> We're All Consumers

We can't tell the whole
story of forests without mentioning the end-users. That's
you and me; all of us who find ourselves using forested
landscapes and forest products for one thing or another.
We use forests in a variety of ways like hunting,
fishing, hiking, and lumber production, for example
and we need to be responsible users. With responsible
use, we can help guarantee the health of our forests for
generations to come.
As wise consumers we can continue to
enjoy the forests while minimizing the affect we have. More
importantly, future generations will be able to do the same.
Below are a few demands that affect the 28 million acres
of forest lands in Oregon. Click a topic for more information...

"Sustainability
to me means continued employment and a healthy economy;
in order to have this we need to sustain the health
of the forests we depend on." Juan |
