This forest site, managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, contains old-growth Douglas-fir and western hemlock, along with younger planted trees. There is a trailhead with limited parking, restroom facilities, designated trails and two open-air, 24-foot shelters with picnic tables. This site is in a primitive, natural setting and can be used for habitat, stream, soils and forest ecology activities. With sufficient notice and staff availability, assistance may be available for planning and developing science-based field trips or you can plan your own activities.
