Lewis and Clark National Historic Park in partnership with North Coast Watershed Association and Columbia River Estuary Study Taskforce have been restoring the historic scene that the Corps of Discovery would have encountered as they paddled up the L&C River to find their winter encampment site, now known as Otter Point.  This site is a beautiful example of historic channel reconnection to the Lewis and Clark River. Volunteers are needed to plant a mix of native estuarine sedges, grasses, and rushes.  Tools will be provided. Bring boots and gloves if you have them, some will be available on site.

*Directions:  Take Fort Clatsop Road.  Just past the 1st park entrance, look for balloons.  Pull into this service road and park.  Someone will be there to direct you to the planting area.
